The Penultimate Day...

Penultimate is the second to last in a series of things. Today is the day before we all depart from Midland, Detroit, Colorado, South Africa! And most of us, theoretically, will meet up in Amsterdam to fly to Entebbe where the Schroeders will be awaiting us the airport after flying in from South Africa. We have 20, 50-lb bags packed with supplies, blankets for the orphans, and pillowcase dresses. Along with that are 2 cellos and more violins!

So many meetings and things on the agenda for our trip. We, as Americans, are very focused on all that we can help with while on the ground. We will be working toward times of just being with our Ugandan friends and partners. They are so very good at this! A few things you will be reading about us doing are:

Initiating the new HEAL Program (Health is Elemental to All Life); Growing and practicing with the Muko Orchestra, working alongside the MEP women teaching them to sew on the new machines; meeting each and every sponsored orphan to give them their gift of a handmade blanket, get new photos of them, and play with them; work alongside the ACT HANDS Team to evaluate status of HANDS program and plan for future improvements; interviewing many of the villagers and staff for ACT to learn more about them; explore a micro-financing for our organization; participate in the ACT Assembly with the community celebrating all our work together and much, much more. Stay tuned...

And we ask for your prayers, prayers for safety and good health.
