The Hope Seed Project

During February, new hope for healthy food made its way to Uganda in the form of seeds.  ACT contacted a group in Florida called Hope Seeds

This group provided ACT with an abundance of seed kits that it could send to families in Uganda.  Each seed kit will allow families to plant tomatoes, leeks, beets, watermelon and much more.  Instructions for growing and nutritional value information are included.   During the latter part of 2008, an effort was initiated to provide a source of fresh fruits and vegetables for families in the Muko region.  Hope Seeds is an organization based in Florida that provides seed packets to a variety of areas in the world including Haiti and Uganda.  They provided two hundred packets of seeds for crops such as tomatoes, watermelon, radishes, turnips and more.
