Sponsor an Orphan

There are many children in the Muko region who unfortunately are orphans because one or both of their parents have died, often from HIV/AIDS. Many now live with relatives or other families in the community but some just live "in the bush." Often, these families struggle with finances to support themselves and the means to properly educate the children. Baby on Back
Baby and Little Girl Initially, ACT began their Muko HOPE (Help Orphans Prosper and Endure) program for about thirty of these children and teamed them with sponsors in the U.S. who have committed to supporting them financially.  Starting in the second half of 2009, this program is being expanded and now helps about 70 needy orphans.  We are still in need of sponsors.  Margie tells her story of how this affected her life in this video.

Sponsors are asked to commit to a contribution of $40 per month.  Monthly, quarterly and annual payment options are available.  If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, or simply want to find out more details, contact us.  If you would like to discuss this, please call Linda at +1 (989) 839-2360.

One-time gifts without a commitment to be a sponsor are welcome also.

Suggestions for letters by sponsors to their orphan[s] are now available.  Click here to read them.
