Generous Turinawe (Director)
In 2004, Generous was a teacher at
Disney Kindergarten, an infant school in Kisugu-Muyenga,
Kampala. She used to have sad experiences seeing
orphaned children suffer and live a miserable life among
others. She had a dream God calling her to serve Him by
starting a ministry that can benefit the most
disadvantaged people and that compelled her to form ACT
(Agape Community Transformation) which is operating in
Muko Sub-County -Kabale District. ACT is
transforming the Muko community through various programs
with 200 beneficiaries, both children and adults.

Richard Turinawe (Programs
Coordinator)
Richard works with MTN Uganda, the
leading telecommunication company in Uganda as an Access
Network Surveyor. He is a Co-founder of ACT and a full
time volunteer, coordinating programs in Uganda and the
USA. He played an important role by coordinating with
Sue Waechter in the USA that has made ACT what it is
today with partners from Uganda and the USA.

Blessing Kyokwijuka (Social
worker)
Blessing is a full time worker who
keeps ACT Office at Muko and visits the orphans in their
homes to assess their needs and later reports to
Generous. He is responsible for purchasing items from
the sponsorship sent by sponsors in USA and distributes
them to the orphans every month.

Charles Tuhaise (Board
Chair)
Charles is a Principal Research
Officer at the parliament of Uganda. In 2008, Sue
Waechter got him on Internet and then connected him to
Richard and Generous Turianwe. When the team from U.S.A
came to Uganda in February, they met with Charles
together with Generous and asked him to serve on ACT
Board. He accepted and was elected as a Board Chair
during the first board meeting in March 2008.

Fr. Bruno Byomuhangi (Board
Vice Chair)
Bruno joined ACT as a volunteer in
2004 when he was a parish priest at Muko Uganda Martyrs
Catholic Church. He currently is Pastor Coordinator for
the Diocese of Kabele. In 2006 he got connected to two
Catholic churches in Michigan MI by Sue and John
Waechter. Blessed Sacrament and St. Anthony churches
donated roofing and shutters to Uganda martyrs Catholic
Church in Muko. He was elected as the vice board chair
during the first board meeting in March 2008.

Josiah Nankunda (Board
secretary)
Josiah is a Primary Teacher at Muko
Butare Primary School. He started serving ACT as a
volunteer in 2004 and in 2008; he was chosen to be a
secretary on Board.

Julius Kyarikunda (Board
Treasurer)
Julius is a Pastor at Ikamiro
Anglican Church and is studying to become a priest. In
2008 he was chosen to be one of the ACT Board members
and then selected to serve as a treasurer.

Lydia Komugisha (Board Member)
Lydia joined the ACT Uganda Board near the end of 2009.
Her background and connections as a data supervisor of the AIDS Information
Centre in Kabale will be a very valuable asset. Additionally, Lydia works
part time as coordinator of the Masters Degree program at the Uganda Christian
University, Bishop Barham Campus in Kabale.

Shallon Kaata (Board member)
Sharon is a peasant and she is the
first person to introduce growing of apples and
mushrooms in Ikamiro. She joined ACT in 2008 serving as
a Board Member. |

Prudence Turyarangwoha
(Board member)
Prudence is a Local counselor
(Local Council 5) and represents Muko Sub-county at the
District. She joined ACT in 2008 serving as a Board
Member.

Specioza Ntegyereize (Board
member)
Specioza is a Local counselor
(Local Council 3) and represents Karengyere parish at
the Sub-county. She joined ACT in 2008 serving as a
Board Member.

Victor Bikorwomuhangi
(Special Events Coordinator)
Victor is a teacher at Karegyere
Primary School and is a volunteer in special events
since 2004. He is responsible for taking children out
for field study, touring, music, dance and drama.

Godfrey Kagimba (Chaplain)
Godfrey is clergy and is a
volunteer in children devotion program since 2004. He is
responsible for serving children with the word of God
(Bible study).

Caleb Nshabohurira
(Education Services Coordinator)
Caleb is a teacher at Ikamiro
Primary School and is a volunteer in education services
since 2004. He is responsible for overseeing ACT
children performance in education and he will be playing
an important role in adult literacy program.

Tito Tugume (Chief mobilizer)
Tito is the first volunteer who
began by mobilizing other volunteers and played an
important role by identifying beneficiaries in the
entire population of Muko Sub-County. He reports to the
social worker.
