Loy Besigye who tells us her name means “Let them Trust” made this Ugandan basket. She wove Sisal and Papyrus into the beautiful diamond pattern. A little over 12 inches from the top of the lid to the bottom, its large enough to keep office supplies or bathroom items organized and tidy. One women told me she uses this size to keep her current knitting project out of the paws of her kitty! Over ten years ago, Loy’s husband died so this work is important to her wellbeing. Your investment in this object helps her through her wages and then helps the whole community as we send back the money earned to reinvest in Muko, Uganda. sl09
