Expanding Our Reach: Growing Beyond Muko Sub-County, Uganda

For more than two decades, ACT Uganda has been deeply rooted in the community of Muko Sub-County, home to approximately 40,000 residents. Located within Uganda’s Rubanda District, a region of about 250,000 people, Muko has long been the heart of our programs—where we’ve partnered with families, farmers, and schools to strengthen livelihoods and create lasting change.

Now, we are excited to share that ACT Uganda is expanding its reach beyond Muko Sub-County, bringing our mission to more communities across the greater Rubanda District.

Through collaboration with the Government Ministries of Health and Agriculture, as well as new educational initiatives, ACT Uganda is helping even more students access schooling and providing essential resources that promote healthier, more sustainable lives. These partnerships are opening doors for families and fostering growth across an even wider region.

This expansion marks an important milestone for ACT Uganda. It reflects both the trust our organization has earned over 21 years of service and the shared commitment of local leaders and communities to build a stronger future together.

We are deeply grateful for this opportunity—and for every supporter who continues to make our work possible. Together, we’re not just growing—we’re expanding hope and opportunity across Rubanda District and beyond.
