Breaking Ground: Big Things Are Happening at ACT Uganda!
From the very beginning, ACT Uganda has had a bold vision: to build a financially sustainable model that not only supports our programs but also empowers the local community. While progress has sometimes felt like two steps forward and one step back, we are thrilled to share that we’re now ready to take a major leap forward.
A New Chapter: Social Business Development
Our strategy for sustainability is rooted in the development of social businesses—locally-based enterprises that both generate income for ACT’s life-changing programs and create employment opportunities in Muko Sub-County.
We believe this model is the key to unlocking long-term, community-led success. And now, the next step is underway.
ACT Social Business Center: Breaking Ground
Our first major milestone? We’ve purchased land in Muko Sub-County to serve as the future site of the ACT Social Business Center. This center will become the hub for these new enterprises, providing a dedicated space to grow sustainable initiatives that benefit both ACT Uganda and the wider community.
The Ugandan staff has already begun collaborating with a local architect to design the building—and we’re excited to share the preliminary plans with you!
We’re filled with hope, energy, and determination as we step into this exciting new phase. Thank you for being part of this journey—your support is what makes all of this possible.
Together, let’s bring this vision to life.
